- Transferring blind: A presence dot says busy. It does not say the workshop runs until 16:00, or who is covering. So the caller lands in voicemail and rings back an hour later.
- Priced like a contact center: One or two people cover the desk. Most attendant consoles still charge a licence per seat every month, and several of them want Teams Premium underneath it.
- Presence of every colleague: Available, away, busy, do not disturb, in a call, in a meeting, presenting, out of office or offline. Live from Microsoft 365, on every row in the list.
- Calendar insight: A colleague's work week next to their card, read from Outlook. Purple+ only reads it. A tenant that wants less can hide the subject and show the busy blocks alone.
- Transfer, consult, or add to the call: Three things to do with a caller, and four ways to reach the other person: Teams, mobile, landline, or a number outside the organisation.
- Address books: The Microsoft 365 directory, plus address books your own organisation keeps. A book can be scoped to a queue, so the service desk sees its own suppliers and nobody else does.
- Calls waiting: A panel of the queue calls still ringing, longest wait on top. Pick one up from the desk instead of waiting for it to reach you.
No Teams Premium, and no extra Microsoft licence per receptionist. Purple+ is billed on minute bundles, so a quiet August costs less than a busy March.
Frequently asked questions
Is this an attendant console for Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Purple+ is a companion application installed next to Teams. It signs in with the same Microsoft 365 account, reads presence, status and calendars from Microsoft 365, and hands calls over to Teams, a mobile or a landline.
Do we need Teams Premium?
No. Purple+ needs no Teams Premium and adds no Microsoft licence per user. It runs on Azure Communication Services, the same Microsoft calling platform Teams itself runs on.
What does it cost for a reception desk?
Purple+ starts at €670 a month and is billed on minute bundles, not per seat. A second person covering the desk at lunchtime does not add a licence. We look at your call volume and recommend the bundle that fits it.
Can the receptionist see a colleague's calendar?
Yes, their work week, read from Outlook. Purple+ reads it and never writes to it. A tenant that wants less detail can hide the subject and show only the busy blocks.
Where can we transfer a call to?
A colleague over Teams, their mobile or their landline. A queue or an IVR menu. Or a number outside the organisation, which is a contact like any other. Consult first and the caller waits on hold until you hand over.
What happens to the calls nobody picked up?
They sit in one list with the number and the time. One person claims a missed call and marks it called back, so two people do not ring the same caller. On a queue that offers it, the caller can ask to be rung back instead of waiting.
